Working directly with civil society leaders, the project aims to provide training for women political candidates to help build their capacities, offer voter and civic education and sensitization campaigns on gender equality.
Moreover, it will empower women to effectively advocate for community needs, and back gender equality advocates to cal...l on political parties, governments and others to do their part in making gender equality measures central to public policymaking.
Furthermore, the project will provide an oversight role in holding government to account for their delivery of key services and programs. Participants will be connected to each other, and also to those in other IoG programs in Iraq, to build their capacity to engage and influence.
