Empowering Women

The objective of the cohort is to have a group of Iraqi female public servants and CSO leaders better understand their roles and be more effective actors in the system of decentralized governance in Iraq. The cohort will connect women in elected office, the public service, and civil society (and at both the federal and provincial level) with the goal of advancing the principles of federalism. This is achieved by developing their capacity to work together to achieve policy and programming goals, and ultimately better outcomes for all Iraqis.
Module One introduces the concept of leadership competencies in an Iraqi context. These competencies were identified by IOG through previous work in designing a senior executive service program in Iraq.
